Two things came to mind this week that made me question what other agents do at times :

1. I was instructed by a new client to market a property for rental in Hertford, a tidy two bedder on The Foxholes listed at a sensible price. It was already being marketed by a local agent and had been vacant for a few weeks. As soon as I listed the other agency discounting their agency fees ! I successfully rented the property regardless at full agency fees. You know sometimes I think just be proud of what you do and the services you offer.Being a great Letting agent is hard work and of course it is competitive, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, that's life but you can still stick by your hard worked for business.

2. Touting Letters - Ok the market is tough for new instructions but I picked up 8 touting letters in one of our empties this week, what a waste of time, paper and energy ! One of these agents claimed they would have already rented the property but a quick search on Rightmove showed all their unrented and reduced properties. If you have so much time on your hands maybe best give up and get down the pub earlier than usual.
